Last week Odelle from 3/4L came up to the front office with a magazine in her hands. It wasn't her usual reading material, it was the nationally published ‘Country Style' magazine. With obvious enthusiasm for the content within, Odelle opened up to page 99… and there they were, our wonderful Simmons family from Ebenezer! A four page ‘Our Life in the Country' feature on the gorgeous Simmons family and their organic vegetables and free-range pork business (Melanda Park Free Range). After a read we all burst with pride and admiration at what they had achieved. The photos are beautiful.
Sue and Matt nicely slipped in a comment or two about the school which was nice of them: "They (the kids) are the fourth generation at the local primary school, which is definitely the heart of the community. I play a fairly active role there, helping with fundraising and grants. Tommy's now taking classes in the same building my gran, mum and I all did. It's so nice to have that history'".
