Storytelling is culturally important and writers help define us as human. The written novel is still one of the most potent windows into the human condition. By promoting writing in the Hawkesbury we are both celebrating those who can weave magic with words and helping create high expectations for success in our schools.
The Hawkesbury Learning Community Young Writers' Award has been a fixture in our Learning Community's calendar since 2010. Ebenezer PS once again was proud to organise this event.
Our story-writing competitors at Learning Community Level were:
Early Stage 1: Jay (K/1L)
Stage 1: Samantha (1/2W)
Stage 2: Lillian (2/3V)
Stage 3: Charlotte (5/6J)
This year Samantha from 1/2W took home the gong for overall Stage Winner! Well Done Samantha!
